High Impact Days
High-Impact Days – Attendance Policy Reminder
High-Impact Days are specific dates that BNSF identifies as historically having higher levels of train crew absenteeism. These dates are outlined in the current Attendance Policy, detailed in System General Notice 33.
BNSF may update these days at any time through the issuance of a new System General Notice.

Super Bowl Sunday
Easter Sunday
Mother’s Day
Memorial Day
Father’s Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Halloween
Thanksgiving Day
Day after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
New Year’s Eve
Employees should be aware that absences on High-Impact Days are subject to increased scrutiny and may carry greater consequences under the attendance guidelines. It is important to plan accordingly and refer to the Employee Portal for the most up-to-date information.
